Kerry is an $8 billion-dollar global leader in sustainable nutrition, which means they make great tasting products in a way that is better for people, the planet, and our communities. With Irish roots in dairy, Kerry made its way to America in 1987 and shortly after, acquired Beatreme Foods in Wisconsin. Choosing Beloit for its home was a strategic decision rooted in Wisconsin’s reputation as the dairy state and its proximity to Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago. Kerry now employs over 5,000 people in US across over 60 locations.
The Beloit Kerry Innovation Center opened in 2009 and was designed to be more than just a workplace; it was created to be a collaborative hub, bringing together expertise and technology. On 129-acres, the 260,000 square foot campus is home to food science labs, test kitchens, a pilot manufacturing plant, customer co-creation spaces, and more. For employees, the building features a café, coffee stations on each floor, a gym, an outdoor patio area and state-of-the-art collaboration spaces. The building allows Kerry’s vision to be the most valued partner in creating a world of sustainable nutrition, where over 1000 chefs, food scientists, flavorists, marketers, and business leaders co-create with customers to deliver science-backed, consumer-driven solutions for the world’s leading food, beverage and pharmaceutical customers.
The building’s structure serves as a beacon for sustainable design, reflecting Kerry’s Beyond the Horizon Sustainability Strategy. This commitment is woven into the fabric of the center, with many sustainable initiatives making an impact. These include natural and LED lighting, the prairie ecosystem restoration project, water-use reduction systems, waste optimization projects, living walls, efficient heating and colling systems, and an employee-maintained garden.
Kerry came from Ireland to the US as a Dairy Business and evolved into a world leading Taste and Nutrition company. The Beloit Innovation Center is a symbol of that progress.
