Beloit Turner School


The School District of Beloit Turner is a district of choice with approximately 25% of its total enrollment of 1,503 consisting of open enrollment students. Beloit Turner prides itself on educating students in a medium size district while providing educational programming and extracurricular activities rarely seen in districts its size.

The district has been recognized by the College Board as an Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Roll recipient during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years. During the 2014-2015 school year, 22.9% of Turner High School students completed an AP course, exceeding the state average by 7.2%. Since 2013 Turner High School students scoring a three or higher on the AP exam has consistently exceeded 60%. During the 2015-2016 school year, Turner High School students will have access to twenty AP courses.

Beloit Turner is a participating member of the JEDI Virtual School, a not-for profit charter school that provides elementary, middle, and high school students the opportunity to take online classes. JEDI high school students have the opportunity to receive a Turner High School diploma by utilizing a wide range of online curricular offerings.

The Beloit Turner School District understands the importance of a strong music program and quality extra-curricular programming for students. In July of 2015, the School District of Beloit Turner approved a four year implementation plan of purchasing band instruments for families to rent through the district. The commitment will allow families to save significantly by renting at a minimal fee through the district and eliminate any financial barriers restricting students from their love of music.

Students enrolled in the Turner School District have access to thirteen varsity sports including: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Hockey, Poms, Soccer (girls), Softball, Track. Volleyball (girls), and Wrestling.

Beloit Turner students also have access to a variety of other activities including: Art Club, AFS International Club, Academic Decathlon, Book Club, DECA, Diversity Club, Drama Club, Forensic, Impact (Show Choir), Jazz Ensemble, Math Team, Mock Trial, Musicals, National Honor Society, Politics Club, Prom Committee, Student Council, and Yearbook.
